Congratulations to Sam and Ant, they married on a lovely hot day in June.
It as a wonderful event, this couple are just so in love and the families were just incredibly nice too. I felt like I had know them all for years.
The photographer had done an engagement shoot with this couple already so it was easy for them all to slip right back into it.
Sam and Ant stayed in the Hotel Excelsior Bay on Malcesine Lake Front. There was some last minute rushing to get everyone ready in time. Once Ant and his guys had left the hotel Sam and her Dad went off for photos, before getting in the Tuk Tuk to take them to the wedding.
There were over 80 guests at the wedding, they were all on time and dressed like royalty.
We had arranged a champagne toast in the castle for the wedding party, with prosecco, juice, water, pizza, fruit and much more.
Lake Garda is one of europe's largest lakes and is Italy’s largest lake, and offers something for everyone, such as sailing, surfing, theme Parks, cable cars, boats and ferries, walking and is very popular for cycling and rock climbing. It is a great place to kick back and relax, or do the opposite and have an activity holiday.
Malcesine castle is a very popular venue for weddings from many country all over the world. Many British, Irish, Germans and Americans chose this as the venue of a lifetime. Italian's love it too and there are many Italian weddings here. The views from the castle are breathtaking and make a great backdrop for the wedding pictures. It is possible to have a champagne toast in the castle after the ceremony, or by the lakeside, the choice is yours . Malcesine castle was once used as a prison, as a famous german poet, Goethe was once held prisoner as he was thought to be a spy.
Garda is known to be the birthplace of the violin and also the famous political and literary figure, Gabrielle D'Annunzio.
Garda used to be called Benaco, in-fact there is still a town called Torri del Bench, which means Benacus towers. Riva del Garda, at the north, used to be part of Austria until 1918. Until few years ago you could still see the old customs barriers.
Lake Garda Weddings is Lake Garda's leading wedding planner, we have arranged over 3000 wedding on Lake Garda and have the attention to detail that comes with so much experience. You will have a wedding planner with you on your wedding day to translate the ceremony and make sure everything runs smoothly. We will also guide you through the document procedure back home too before the wedding.
We offer civil weddings, but also symbolic ceremonies, blessings and vow renewal ceremonies. We have also had the pleasure of arranging some baby naming ceremonies for couples who married in Malcesine and wished to come back for a symbolic baby naming ceremony.
Lake Garda is surrounded by the Garda Mountains, and is host to 5 main islands, and several smaller uninhabited ones
