Congratulations to Emma and Chris.
We are very happy to show a selection of photos from the romantic wedding of Emma and Chris in Malcesine in 2018.
This wonderful couple married on the terrace of Malcesine Castle on Lake Garda. After the ceremony the couple had champagne and nibbles followed by a boat trip that took them out on Lake Garda to see the sights, ending up at La Voglia restaurant for the evening party
This photo was taken as the castle left the wedding terrace and headed towards the exit where friends and family were waiting for them to blow bubbles at them.
Malcesine castle is a very popular venue for weddings from many country all over the world. Many British, Irish, Germans and Americans chose this as the venue of a lifetime. Italian's love it too and there are many Italian weddings here. The views from the castle are breathtaking and make a great backdrop for the wedding pictures. It is possible to have a champagne toast in the castle after the ceremony, or by the lakeside, the choice is yours. Nearby cities are Verona, Venice and Milan, which you can reach by public transport or car during your holiday.
Lake Garda is about an hour away from Verona airport by car, or you can also get here by flying into Milano Bergamo or Milano Malpensa airport.
Garda is known to be the birthplace of the violin so it could be a good instrument to choose for the wedding, which many of our brides have done, along with the piano or a string quartet.
Garda used to be called Benaco, in-fact there is still a town called Torri del Bench, which means Benacus towers. Riva del Garda, at the north, used to be part of Austria until 1918. Until few years ago you could still see the old customs barriers.
Lake Garda Weddings is Lake Garda's leading wedding planner, we have arranged over 3000 wedding on Lake Garda and have the attention to detail that comes with so much experience. We have an office in the centre of Malcesine with a team of 4 wedding planners open all year round. We can assist with flowers, beauty treatments, musicians, transport, boat trips, photography and video, wedding cakes and hair and make up too. You will have a wedding planner with you on your wedding day to translate the ceremony and make sure everything runs smoothly. We will also guide you through the document procedure back home too before the wedding to ensure your legal wedding runs smoothly.
We offer civil weddings, but also symbolic ceremonies, blessings and vow renewal ceremonies. We have also had the pleasure of arranging some baby naming ceremonies for couples who married in Malcesine and wished to come back for a symbolic baby naming ceremony.
